आश्वासयामास तदा गड्जां दामोदरो विभु: । श्रीकृष्ण और व्यासजीके द्वारा पुत्र-शोकाकुला गज्भाजीको सान्त्वना ऐसी बातें कहकर जब महानदी गंगाजी बहुत विलाप करने लगीं

Transliteration

āśvāsayāmāsa tadā gaṅgāṃ dāmodaro vibhuḥ |

Translation

ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಆಗ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತಿಮಾನ ದಾಮೋದರ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಗಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ಆಶ್ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪುತ್ರಶೋಕದಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಕುಲಳಾದ ಗಂಗೆಯು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ವಿಲಪಿಸಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಪ್ರಭುವು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ನೀಡಿದನು.
