इन्द्र रवाच अस्माभिरननिन्दितावेतौ भवेतां सोमपौ कथम् | देवैर्न सम्मितावेतौ तस्मान्मैवं वदस्व न:
Transliteration
indra uvāca—asmābhir ananinditāv etau bhavetāṃ somapau katham | devair na sammitāv etau tasmān maivaṃ vadasva naḥ ||
Translation
ಇಂದ್ರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಹೇ ನಿರ್ದೋಷ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನೇ! ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ನಾವು ನಿಂದಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ಹಾಗಿರಲು ಇವರು ಸೋಮಪಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಅರ್ಹರು? ಇವರು ದೇವರ ಸಮಾನ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಇಂತೆಂದು ಮಾತಾಡಬೇಡ.”
