अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
नूनमद्य कृतार्था: सम नून॑ प्राप्ता: सतां गतिम् । यां गतिं प्रार्थयन्तीह ज्ञाननिर्मलबुद्धयः
nūnam adya kṛtārthāḥ sma nūnaṁ prāptāḥ satāṁ gatim | yāṁ gatiṁ prārthayantīha jñāna-nirmala-buddhayaḥ ||
ವಾಯು ಹೇಳಿದರು— ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಇಂದು ನಾವು ಕೃತಾರ್ಥರಾದೆವು; ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ಪುರುಷರು ತಲುಪುವ ಆ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾದ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೋ, ಅದೇ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಖಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಂದು ನಾವು ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾದೆವು.
