अदैवं दैवतं कुर्युर्दवतं चाप्पदैवतम्‌ । लोकानन्यान्‌ सृजेयुस्ते लोकपालांश्ष कोपिता:

Transliteration

adaivaṃ daivataṃ kuryur daivataṃ cāpy adaivatam | lokān anyān sṛjeyus te lokapālāṃś ca kopitāḥ ||

Translation

ತಪೋಬಲದಿಂದ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರು ದೈವವಲ್ಲದುದನ್ನೂ ದೈವವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲರು; ಅವರು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡರೆ ದೇವರನ್ನೂ ದೇವತ್ವದಿಂದ ಚ್ಯುತಗೊಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲರು. ಕೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನೂ ಲೋಕಪಾಲಕರನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಬಲ್ಲರು।
