ईश्वर उवाच
The verse emphasizes that righteous kingship and social order (dharma) are grounded in a sacred, divinely ordered lineage. By tracing descent from Aditi to the Sun to Manu, it frames human law and governance as connected to cosmic origins.
Īśvara outlines a genealogical sequence: Aditi gives rise to Āditya (the Sun), from whom Manu is born; within Manu’s line appears Ilā, who later becomes known as Sudyumna, indicating a significant transformation within the royal lineage.
