Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)
अन्यथा बहुबुद्धयाढ्यो वाक््यं वदति संसदि । अन्यथैव हाहंवादी दुर्बलं वदते वच:
anyathā bahubuddhyāḍhyo vākyaṃ vadati saṃsadi | anyathaiva hāhaṃvādī durbalaṃ vadate vacaḥ ||
ಮಹೇಶ್ವರನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಬಹುಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧನಾದವನು ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ—ವಿವೇಕದಿಂದ, ಸಂದರ್ಭೋಚಿತವಾಗಿ—ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ‘ನಾನೇ’ ಎಂದು ಗರ್ವಿಸುವ ಅಹಂಕಾರಿ ಬೇರೆ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ದುರ್ಬಲ ಹಾಗೂ ನಂಬಲಾರದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಜ್ಞಾನ-ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಸಂಪನ್ನನಾಗಿ, ತರ್ಕ-ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಪುಣನಾಗಿ, ವಿವಿಧ ವಕ್ತಾರರ ಬಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವನು ಸಂಕಟಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
