कालयुक्तधर्मविवेकः
Discerning Dharma in Accord with Time
।। विपरीतस्तु धर्मात्मा रूपवानभिजायते
viparītastu dharmātmā rūpavān abhijāyate | devi! hiṁsāpremī manuṣyaḥ svapāpakarmakāraṇād anyeṣāṁ vadhyaḥ sarvaprāṇinām apriyaś cālpāyuś ca bhavati ||
ಮಹೇಶ್ವರನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹಿಂಸೆಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾದ ಸ್ವಭಾವವಿರುವವನು ಧರ್ಮಾತ್ಮನಾಗಿ, ರೂಪವಂತನಾಗಿ ಜನ್ಮಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ದೇವಿ! ಹಿಂಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಮಿಸುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಪಾಪಕರ್ಮಗಳ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಇತರರಿಂದ ವಧ್ಯನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಸರ್ವಭೂತಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ರಿಯನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅಲ್ಪಾಯುಷ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಜನ್ಮಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
