Śiva-darśana through Tapas and Stuti (उपमन्यु–कृष्ण संवादः)
उमोवाच एवं भविष्यत्यमरप्रभाव नाहं मृषा जातु वदे कदाचित् | भार्यासहस्राणि च षोडशैव तासु प्रियत्वं च तथाक्षयं च
umovāca—evaṁ bhaviṣyaty amaraprabhāva nāhaṁ mṛṣā jātu vade kadācit | bhāryāsahasrāṇi ca ṣoḍaśaiva tāsu priyatvaṁ ca tathākṣayaṁ ca ||
ಉಮಾದೇವಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು—“ಅಮರರ ಸಮಾನ ಪ್ರಭಾವಶಾಲಿಯಾದ ಓ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ! ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಗುವುದು. ನಾನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನಗೆ ಹದಿನಾರು ಸಾವಿರ ಪತ್ನಿಯರು ಇರುವರು; ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಅಕ್ಷಯವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯೂ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ।”
