वाणिज्यं सत्पथस्थानमातिथ्यं प्रशमो दम: । विप्राणां स्वागतं त्यागो वैश्यधर्म: सनातन:
vāṇijyaṁ satpathasthānam ātithyaṁ praśamo damaḥ | viprāṇāṁ svāgataṁ tyāgo vaiśyadharmaḥ sanātanaḥ ||
ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಸತ್ಪಥದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ, ಅತಿಥಿಸತ್ಕಾರ, ಶಮ-ದಮ, ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತ-ಸತ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ತ್ಯಾಗ—ಇವೇ ವೈಶ್ಯನ ಸನಾತನ ಧರ್ಮ.
