दम्पत्यो: समशीलत्वं धर्म: स्याद् गृहमेधिन: । गृह्माणां चैव देवानां नित्यपुष्पबलिक्रिया
dampatyoḥ samaśīlatvaṃ dharmaḥ syād gṛhamedhinaḥ | gṛhyāṇāṃ caiva devānāṃ nityapuṣpabalikriyā ||
ಗೃಹಸ್ಥನ ಧರ್ಮವೆಂದರೆ ಪತಿ-ಪತ್ನಿಯರ ಸ್ವಭಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಆಚರಣೆ ಸಮನ್ವಯವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬಲಿ (ಅನ್ನನೈವೇದ್ಯ) ಎಂಬ ನಿತ್ಯಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಬೇಕು.
