Śatarudrīya-prabhāva and Rudra’s Supremacy (शतरुद्रीयप्रभावः)
उमोवाच भगवन् सर्वभूतेश शूलपाणे महाव्रत । संशयो मे महान् जातस्तन्मे व्याख्यातुमहसि
umovāca bhagavan sarvabhūteśa śūlapāṇe mahāvrata | saṃśayo me mahān jātas tan me vyākhyātum arhasi ||
ಉಮೆ ಹೇಳಿದಳು—ಭಗವನ್! ಸರ್ವಭೂತೇಶ್ವರ! ಶೂಲಪಾಣಿ! ಮಹಾವ್ರತಧಾರಿ! ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಸಂಶಯ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದೆ; ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಬೇಕು.
