पितरस्तेन गच्छन्ति सोमलोकमसंशयम् | जो नदी या तालाबके तटसे अपने सींगोंद्वारा कीचड़ उछालकर खड़ा होता है, उससे वृषोत्सर्ग करनेवालेके पितर निस्संदेह चन्द्रलोकमें जाते हैं
pitaraḥ tena gacchanti somalokam asaṁśayam |
“ಆ ಕರ್ಮದಿಂದ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಸಂಶಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೋಮಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನದಿ ಅಥವಾ ಕೆರೆಯ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಸರನ್ನು ಎಸೆದು ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಆ ವೃಷಭವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದವನ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಚಂದ್ರಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸೇರುತ್ತಾರೆ.”
