अस्माकं परितोषश्न अक्षय: परिकीरत्त्यते | इस तरह निष्कपट भावसे किया हुआ दान अक्षय एवं महान् फलदायक होता है और उससे हमें भी अक्षय संतोष प्राप्त होता है--ऐसा शास्त्रका कथन है ।।
śakra uvāca | asmākaṃ paritoṣaś ca akṣayaḥ parikīrtyate | śraddadhānāś ca ye martyā āhariṣyanti santatim ||
ಶಕ್ರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನಮ್ಮ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯೂ ಅಕ್ಷಯವೆಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಪಟರಹಿತ ಶುದ್ಧಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ದಾನ ಅಕ್ಷಯವಾಗಿ ಮಹಾಫಲವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದರಿಂದ ನಮಗೂ ಅಂತ್ಯರಹಿತ ಸಂತೋಷ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ—ಇದು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವಚನ. ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ದಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದ ಸಂತಾನಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
