भीष्म उवाच शृणुष्वावहितो राजन्‌ धर्मगुह्दानि भारत । यथा हि भगवान्‌ व्यास: पुरा कथितवान्‌ मयि

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca śṛṇuṣvāvahito rājan dharma-gūḍhāni bhārata | yathā hi bhagavān vyāsaḥ purā kathitavān mayi ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ರಾಜನೇ, ಭಾರತಕುಲನಂದನನೇ! ಎಚ್ಚರದಿಂದ ಕೇಳು. ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಗವಾನ್ ವ್ಯಾಸನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ, ಧರ್ಮದ ಗುಹ್ಯ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
