स बुद्धिश्रुतिसम्पन्नस्तं दृष्टवातीव भीषणम् | सामैवास्मिन् प्रयुयुजे न मुमोह न विव्यथे
sa buddhiśrutisampannas taṃ dṛṣṭvātīva bhīṣaṇam | sāmaivāsmin prayuyuje na mumoh na vivyathe ||
ಆ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನು ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರುತಿ (ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ)ದಿಂದ ಸಂಪನ್ನನಾಗಿದ್ದ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭೀಕರ ರಾಕ್ಷಸನನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೂ ಅವನು ಮರುಳಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ, ವ್ಯಥೆಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾಮನೀತಿಯನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಿದನು.
