नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा

इत्येतां बुद्धिमास्थाय नहुष: स नरेश्वरः । सुरेन्द्रत्वं महत् प्राप्प कृतवानेतददभूतम्,इसी विचारधाराका आश्रय लेकर राजा नहुषने महान देवेन्द्रपद पाकर यह अदभुत पुण्यकर्म सदा चालू रखा था
ity etāṁ buddhim āsthāya nahuṣaḥ sa nareśvaraḥ | surendratvaṁ mahat prāpya kṛtavān etad adbhutam ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಈ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ನರೆಶ್ವರನಾದ ನಹುಷನು ಮಹತ್ತಾದ ಇಂದ್ರಪದವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಈ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಪುಣ್ಯಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
