पाण्डवानां पाञ्चालगमनम्

अवाकीर्यत संरब्धैर्विश्वामित्रस्य पश्यत: । एकैकश्न तदा योध: पञ्चभि: सप्तभिव्वृत:
avākīryata saṃrabdhair viśvāmitrasya paśyataḥ | ekaikaśas tadā yodhaḥ pañcabhiḥ saptabhir vṛtaḥ ||
ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧ ಯೋಧರು ಅವನ ಸೇನೆಯನ್ನು ಗೊಂದಲಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಚದುರಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ವೇಳೆ ಅವನ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬ ಸೈನಿಕನನ್ನು ಎದುರಾಳಿಪಕ್ಷದ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ, ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದು, ಸಂಖ್ಯಾಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಉಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಣಿಸಿದರು.
