मोहाद्यो वै पूजयेद्देवदेवं महाधर्माद्याति चान्धं तमो वै / ब्रह्मादिनामानि हरेर्हि देवीं विष्णोः स्वनामानि ददौ दिवौकसाम्

mohādyo vai pūjayeddevadevaṃ mahādharmādyāti cāndhaṃ tamo vai / brahmādināmāni harerhi devīṃ viṣṇoḥ svanāmāni dadau divaukasām

ಮೋಹಾದಿಗಳ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ದೇವದೇವನನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸದವನು ಮಹಾಧರ್ಮದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಅಂಧ ತಮಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ದೇವಿಯೇ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾದಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ದಿವ್ಯ ನಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದಳು; ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವನ ಸ್ವನಾಮಗಳನ್ನು (ಸ್ತುತಿ-ನಾಮಗಳನ್ನು) ದತ್ತಳು.
