हविष्यान्नेन वै मासं पायसेन तु वत्सरम् / मात्स्यहारिणकौरभ्रशाकुनच्छागपार्षतैः

ಹವಿಷ್ಯಾನ್ನವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರೆ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ತೃಪ್ತರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಪಾಯಸ (ಹಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಿದ ಅನ್ನ) ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರೆ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮೀನು, ಜಿಂಕೆ, ವರಾಹ, ಪಕ್ಷಿ, ಮೇಕೆ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಮಾಂಸ ನೈವೇದ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಥೋಚಿತ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಲಭಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
