Pradyumna’s Abduction, Mahā-māyā, and the Slaying of Śambara
naṣṭaṁ pradyumnam āyātam ākarṇya dvārakaukasaḥ aho mṛta ivāyāto bālo diṣṭyeti hābruvan
It describes the residents of Dvārakā rejoicing when they hear that the long-lost Pradyumna has returned, calling it a providential miracle—like someone coming back from death.
Pradyumna had been missing for a long time and was presumed lost; his sudden return felt as unlikely and joyous as a dead person returning to life.
Cultivate gratitude and faith: when something seemingly lost is restored, acknowledge higher grace and respond with humility rather than entitlement.
