Sukta 81
यद् द्याव इन्द्र ते शतं शतं भूमिरुत स्युः । न त्वा वज्रिन्त्सहस्रं सूर्या अनु न जातमष्ट रोदसी
yád dyā́va indra te śatáṃ śatáṃ bhū́mir utá syúḥ | ná tvā vajrin sahásraṃ sū́ryā ánu ná jātám aṣṭá ródasī ||
Though there were for thee, O Indra, a hundred and a hundred heavens, and earths likewise—yet should not a thousand suns in succession match thee, O Vajrin, nor what is born within the two worlds.
ಓ ಇಂದ್ರನೇ! ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ನೂರು ನೂರು ಆಕಾಶಗಳೂ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೂರು ನೂರು ಭೂಮಿಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದರೂ, ಹೇ ವಜ್ರಧಾರಿಯೇ! ಕ್ರಮಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಸಾವಿರ ಸೂರ್ಯರೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಮರಾಗಲಾರರು; ಎರಡೂ ಲೋಕಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಜನಿಸುವ ಯಾವುದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮತೆಯನ್ನು ತಲುಪಲಾರದು.
