Sutra 5

व्याधिदुर्भिक्षयोर्व्याधिः प्रेतव्याधितोपसृष्टपरिचारकव्यायामोपरोधेन कर्माण्युपहन्ति दुर्भिक्षं पुनरकर्मोपघाति हिरण्यपशुकरदायि च इत्याचार्याः ॥ कZ_०८.४.०५ ॥

vyādhidurbhikṣayorvyādhiḥ pretavyādhitopasṛṣṭaparicārakavyāyāmoparodhena karmāṇyupahanti durbhikṣaṃ punarakarmopaghāti hiraṇyapaśukaradāyi ca ityācāryāḥ

ವ್ಯಾಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ದುರ್ಭಿಕ್ಷಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ಮಾತು—ಮೃತರು, ರೋಗಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪೀಡಿತರ ಪರಿಚರ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಪರಿಚಾರಕರ ಶ್ರಮ/ಚಲನೆ ತಡೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದರಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾನಿಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದುರ್ಭಿಕ್ಷವು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮತ್ತೆ ಚಿನ್ನ, ಪಶು ಹಾಗೂ ತೆರಿಗೆ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದಾಯವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ।
