शिवपूजाकथनम् (Śiva-pūjā-kathana) — The Exposition of Śiva Worship
ಹಿಂದಿನ ಸೂರ್ಯಪೂಜಾ ವಿಭಾಗ ಮುಗಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಈ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಶ್ವರನು ಶಿವಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾದ ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧ ವಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆಚಮನ, ಪ್ರಣವಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಅರ್ಘ್ಯ, ಅಸ್ತ್ರಾಂಬುವಿನಿಂದ ದ್ವಾರಪ್ರೋಕ್ಷಣ, ಪ್ರವೇಶರಕ್ಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹದೇವತೆಗಳ ಪೂಜೆ (ಗಣ, ಸರಸ್ವತಿ, ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ; ನಂದಿ, ಗಂಗಾ; ಮಹಾಕಾಲ, ಯಮುನಾ) ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಾಧಕನು ಮಡಿಕಾಲು/ಗುದಿಗಾಲು ಪ್ರಹಾರಾದಿ ದೇಹಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಲಪಾದದಿಂದ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ಎಡ ದ್ವಾರಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿ ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಉದುಂಬರಸ್ತಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ತ್ರರಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ್ತು-ಅಧಿಪತಿ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನಂತರ ಕಲಶಾದಿ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ಭೂತಶುದ್ಧಿ, ಪ್ರಾಣಾಯಾಮ, ಗ್ರಂಥಿಭೇದ, ದ್ವಾದಶಾಂತ ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಂದುಧ್ಯಾನ; ಮಂಡಲಭಾವನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೀಜಮಂತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಪಂಚತತ್ತ್ವ (ಪೃಥ್ವಿ-ಜಲ-ಅಗ್ನಿ-ವಾಯು-ಆಕಾಶ) ಶೋಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೃದಯಪೀಠ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ. ಸಕಲೀಕರಣ, ಅಸ್ತ್ರಪರಿಧಿ, ಶಕ್ತಿಜಾಲ, ಮಹಾಮುದ್ರೆಯ ನಂತರ ಹೃದಯಕಮಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವನ ಅಂತಃಪೂಜೆ, ಅರ್ಘ್ಯ-ಉಪಕರಣ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ, ಲಿಂಗಶುದ್ಧಿ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಪಂಚವಕ್ತ್ರ ದಶಭುಜ ಶಿವಧ್ಯಾನ, ಮೂಲ/ಶಿರಃ/ಶಿಖಾ/ಕವಚ/ಅಸ್ತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಸ, ಉಪಚಾರಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ; ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರತಿ, ಭೋಗಪೂಜೆ, ಜಪಾಹುತಿ, ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಪಠಣ, ಪ್ರದಕ್ಷಿಣೆ, ಅಷ್ಟಮೂರ್ತಿ ಶಿವನಿಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟಾಂಗ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ರೂಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ಯಾನಸಹಿತ ನಿರಂತರ ಪೂಜೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
