आ रा॑त्रि॒ पार्थिव॒ᳪ रज॑ः पि॒तुर॑प्रायि॒ धाम॑भिः । दि॒वः सदा॑ᳪसि बृह॒ती वि ति॑ष्ठस॒ आ त्वे॒षं व॑र्तते॒ तम॑ः ॥

ā rā́tri pārthiváṃ rájaḥ pitúr aprāyi dhā́mabhiḥ | diváḥ sádāṃsi br̥hatī́ ví tiṣṭhase ā tvēṣáṃ vartate támaḥ ||

O Night, the earthly space hath gone unto the Father with thy ordinances; thou, the great one, standest forth in the seats of heaven: strong darkness now rolleth on.
