Frequently Asked Questions

Because royal sacrifice must first make space ritually secure and complete. By fixing each quarter (and the zenith) with its meter and chant, the sacrificer’s sovereignty becomes cosmically ordered and protected.

The chapter keeps Vājapeya’s momentum of ascent and victory while introducing Rājasūya markers: proclamation of unrivaled rule, abhiṣeka that gathers tejas, and the consecration/occupation of the royal seat.

Viṣṇu functions as the measurer who clears and stabilizes the ritual world. His cosmic ‘measuring’ makes the sacrificial space firm so consecration and kingship can stand without obstruction.
