Lord Shiva (teaching in the Kailāsa-saṃhitā discourse)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It distinguishes binding cognition that inflates “I am the doer” from liberating Vidyā that leads to tattva-realization; in Shaiva Siddhanta this supports turning from pāśa (bondage like rāga) toward Pati (Shiva) through true knowledge.
Linga/Saguna Shiva worship is meant to purify rāga and kartṛtva-bhāva; when devotion matures, it becomes Vidyā—an inward means to recognize Shiva as the inner Reality beyond mere object-oriented attachment.
Practice japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with bhāva of surrender, and use Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and Rudrākṣa as reminders to drop doership and restrain attachment to viṣayas.
