Narrator (contextual; the verse describes the Purāṇikas and the effect of Rāma’s darśana rather than a direct speech)
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Type: city
Sandhi Resolution Notes: śṛṇvañchubhām: śṛṇvan + śubhām (sandhi: n + ś → ñch). harṣitāṃginām: harṣita-aṅginām (sandhi: a + a → ā). pulakodbheda: pulaka + udbheda (sandhi: a + u → o).
It highlights ecstatic devotion: joy (harṣa) and gooseflesh (pulaka) arising from Rāma’s darśana, a classic sign of intense bhakti.
They are Purāṇa reciters or tradition-bearers who narrate Purāṇic accounts; the verse portrays them as emotionally transformed by the vision of Rāma.
It implies that sacred speech and sincere hearing, when centered on the divine (here, Rāma), naturally cultivate inner transformation and visible signs of devotion.
