भीष्मस्तत: शान्तनवो विवृत्य हिरण्यकक्षस्त्वरयाभिषड़्ी । दुर्योधन पश्चिमतो<भभ्यरक्षत् पार्थान्महाबाहुरधिज्यधन्वा
bhīṣmas tataḥ śāntanavo vivṛtya hiraṇyakakṣas tvarayābhiṣaḍī | duryodhanaṃ paścimato 'bhyarakṣat pārthān mahābāhur adhijyadhanvā ||
វៃសម្បាយនៈបាននិយាយថា៖ បន្ទាប់មក ភីស្មៈ កូនប្រុសសាន្តនុ បានបង្វិលរទេះ ហើយប្រញាប់រត់មកមុខ—អាវពណ៌មាសរបស់គាត់ភ្លឺចែងចាំង។ មហាបាហុ ភីស្មៈបានចងខ្សែធ្នូរួច ឈរនៅខាងលិច (ខាងក្រោយ) ហើយចាប់ផ្តើមការពារទុរយោធនពីការវាយប្រហាររបស់បណ្ឌវៈ។
