वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights a kṣatriya ethic: when aggression becomes intolerable and threatens order, warriors may respond firmly and in a disciplined manner, using their sanctioned martial powers (even divya-astras) not for cruelty but to check wrongdoing and protect their side.
As the Trigartas press the attack, the assembled warriors collectively drive their chariots forward. Angered and unwilling to tolerate the enemy’s assault, they begin to employ celestial weapons as they advance into battle.
