तत् कर्म कृतवानद्य कथं निद्रां निषेवसे । वहाँ पहुँचते ही सैरन्ध्री बोली--आर्यपुत्र! मुझसे द्वेष रखनेवाले उस महापापी सेनापतिके
tat karma kṛtavān adya kathaṃ nidrāṃ niṣevase |
«ថ្ងៃនេះ អ្នកបានធ្វើកិច្ចការនោះហើយ—ហេតុអ្វីបានជាអ្នកនៅតែអាចដេកលក់? » ដូច្នេះ សៃរន្ធ្រី ពេលទៅដល់ទីនោះ បាននិយាយថា៖ «ឱ អារ្យបុត្រ! មេបញ្ជាការអំពើបាបធំ ដែលស្អប់ខ្ញុំ ហើយបានប្រព្រឹត្តអំពើអាម៉ាស់បែបនោះលើខ្ញុំ—នៅរស់នៅឡើយ; តើអ្នកអាចយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ដេកលក់បានដូចម្តេច?»
