जगाम पावकाभ्याशं तं॑ं चोवाच वराड़ना । मामग्ने कामसंतप्तां त्वं कामयितुमरहसि
jagāma pāvakābhyāśaṃ taṃ ca uvāca varāṅganā | mām agne kāma-santaptāṃ tvaṃ kāmayitum arhasi ||
មារកណ្ឌេយៈបានមានពាក្យថា៖ នារីដ៏ស្រស់ស្អាតនោះ បានទៅជិតព្រះអគ្គិ ហើយនិយាយថា៖ «ឱ អគ្គិ! ខ្ញុំត្រូវកម្តៅកាមៈដុតឆេះ; អ្នកគួរទទួលយកខ្ញុំ និងបំពេញបំណងរបស់ខ្ញុំ»។
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
