कण्वोपदेशः—नश्वरबलविवेकः तथा मातलिगुणकेश्याः आख्यानारम्भः

2 परम्कतर राजा दम्भोद्धवो नाम सार्वभौम: पुराभवत् | अखिलां बुभुजे सर्वा पृथिवीमिति न: श्रुतम्
Paramatara rājā Dambhoddhavo nāma sārvabhaumaḥ purābhavat | Akhilāṃ bubhuje sarvāṃ pṛthivīm iti naḥ śrutam ||
វៃសម្បាយណៈបាននិយាយថា៖ «កាលពីបុរាណ មានព្រះមហាក្សត្រដ៏ឧត្តមមួយ ព្រះនាម ដម្ភោទ្ធវៈ ជាសម្តេចចក្រពត្តិ។ យើងបានឮថា ព្រះអង្គបានរីករាយគ្រប់គ្រងផែនដីទាំងមូល ដោយពេញលេញ»។
