वैशम्पायन उवाच तत आश्वासयामास पुत्राधिभिरभिप्लुताम् । पितृष्वसारं शोचन्तीं शौरि: पार्थसख: पृथाम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | tata āśvāsayāmāsa putrādhibhir abhiplutām | pitṛṣvasāraṃ śocantīṃ śauriḥ pārthasakhaḥ pṛthām ||
វៃសម្បាយនៈបាននិយាយថា៖ បន្ទាប់មក សោរី—ព្រះក្រឹષ્ણ វាសុទេវ មិត្តជិតស្និទ្ធរបស់បារថ (អរជុន)—បានលួងលោម ព្រឹថា (គុនទី) មីងខាងឪពុករបស់ទ្រង់ ដែលកំពុងសោកសៅ ហើយត្រូវលិចលង់ដោយក្តីព្រួយបារម្ភអំពីកូនប្រុសទាំងឡាយ។ ក្នុងវេលានោះ ព្រះក្រឹષ્ણបានបង្ហាញថា សោកមិនមែនជាភាពទន់ខ្សោយទេ ប៉ុន្តែជាបន្ទុកដែលត្រូវទប់ទល់ដោយពាក្យណែនាំ សាច់ញាតិ និងសេចក្តីមាំមួនតាមធម៌ នៅមុខសង្គ្រាមដែលកំពុងខិតជិតមក។
