Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 72 — Bhīmasena’s counsel on conciliation and Duryodhana’s disposition
न चैवं नैछिकं कर्म क्षत्रियस्य विशाम्पते । आहुराश्रमिण: सर्वे न भेक्षे क्षत्रिय श्षरेत्,परंतु महाराज! यह क्षत्रियका नैष्ठिक (स्वाभाविक) कर्म नहीं है। सभी आश्रमोंके श्रेष्ठ पुरुषोंका यह कथन है कि क्षत्रियको भीख नहीं माँगनी चाहिये
na caivaṃ naiṣṭhikaṃ karma kṣatriyasya viśāmpate | āhur āśramiṇaḥ sarve na bhikṣe kṣatriyaḥ śrayet ||
ប៉ុន្តែ ឱ ប្រជាបតីមហាក្សត្រ! នេះមិនមែនជាកិច្ចការដ៏ថេរនិងសមរម្យរបស់ក្សត្រិយៈទេ។ បុរសអ្នកប្រតិបត្តិវិន័យក្នុងអាស្រមទាំងអស់បានប្រកាសថា ក្សត្រិយៈមិនគួរទៅសុំទានឡើយ។
