अक्रोधेन जयेत् क्रोधमसाधुं साधुना जयेत् । जयेत् कदर्य दानेन जयेत् सत्येन चानृतम्,अक्रोधसे क्रोधको जीते, असाधुको सद-व्यवहारसे वशमें करे, कृपणको दानसे जीते और झूठ-पर सत्यसे विजय प्राप्त करे
akrodhena jayet krodham asādhuṁ sādhunā jayet | jayet kadaryaṁ dānena jayet satyena cānṛtam ||
វិទុរាបង្រៀនថា៖ «ចូរឈ្នះកំហឹងដោយអក្រូធៈ—ដោយមិនកំហឹង; ចូរគ្រប់គ្រងមនុស្សអសាធុដោយសុចរិតនៃអ្នកសាធុ; ចូរឈ្នះអ្នកកំណាញ់ដោយទាន; និងចូរឈ្នះពាក្យមិនពិតដោយសច្ចៈ»។
विदुर उवाच
Victory in dharma is achieved by responding to vice with its opposite virtue: anger with calmness, wickedness with goodness, miserliness with generosity, and falsehood with truth.
