उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
पुष्पं पुष्पं विचिन्वीत मूलच्छेदं॑ न कारयेत् । मालाकार इवारामे न यथाड्रारकारक:
puṣpaṁ puṣpaṁ vicinvīta mūlacchedaṁ na kārayet | mālākāra ivārāme na yathāṅgārakārakaḥ ||
វិទុរៈបានណែនាំថា៖ អ្នកគ្រប់គ្រងគួរយកពន្ធពីប្រជាជនដោយការអត់ធ្មត់ និងការពារ—ដូចអ្នកថែសួនក្នុងចម្ការដែលបេះផ្កាម្ដងមួយៗ ដោយមិនកាត់ឫសរុក្ខជាតិ។ គាត់មិនគួរធ្វើដូចអ្នកដុតធ្យូង ដែលកាប់ដើមឈើពីឫសដើម្បីបានផលភ្លាមៗ ហើយបំផ្លាញប្រភពនៃសេចក្តីរុងរឿងនាពេលក្រោយ។
