उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
न राज्यं प्राप्तमित्येव वर्तितव्यमसाम्प्रतम् । श्रियं हविनयो हन्ति जरा रूपमिवोत्तमम्
na rājyaṃ prāptam ity eva vartitavyam asāmpratam | śriyaṃ hīnāvinayo hanti jarā rūpam ivottamam ||
វិទុរៈមានពាក្យថា៖ មិនគួររស់នៅដោយគំនិតថា «ខ្ញុំមិនទាន់បានរាជ្យទេ» ឲ្យជាប់ជានិច្ចឡើយ។ ការខ្វះវិន័យ និងគ្មានភាពទាបទន់បែបនេះ បំផ្លាញសេចក្តីសម្បូរបែប ដូចជាចាស់ជរាបំផ្លាញសម្រស់ដ៏ល្អឥតខ្ចោះ។
