हन्यामहं महाभाग पाण्डवानामनीकिनीम् | दिवसे दिवसे कृत्वा भागं प्रागाह्लिकं मम,महाभाग! मैं प्रतिदिन पाण्डवोंकी सेनाको पहले अपने दैनिक भागमें विभक्त करके उसका वध करूँगा
hanyām ahaṃ mahābhāga pāṇḍavānām anīkinīm | divase divase kṛtvā bhāgaṃ prāgāhlikaṃ mama ||
ភីṣ្មៈ បានមានពាក្យថា៖ «ឱ អ្នកមានកិត្តិយស! ខ្ញុំនឹងវាយប្រហារបំផ្លាញកងទ័ពបណ្ឌវៈ។ រៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃ ខ្ញុំនឹងកំណត់ភាគរបស់ខ្ញុំសម្រាប់កិច្ចការប្រចាំថ្ងៃជាមុន នៅពេលព្រឹកមុន ហើយបន្ទាប់មកនឹងចូលទៅកាន់ការបំផ្លាញពួកគេ។»
