Bhīṣma’s Dream-Counsel and the Prasvāpa Astra (भीष्मस्वप्नदर्शनम् / प्रस्वापास्त्रोपदेशः)
न त्वहं विनिवर्तिष्ये युद्धादस्मात् कथंचन । “आजसे पहले भी मैं कभी किसी युद्धसे पीछे नहीं हटा हूँ। अतः: पितामहो! आपलोग अपनी इच्छाके अनुसार पहले गंगानन्दन भीष्मको ही युद्धसे निवृत्त कीजिये। मैं किसी प्रकार पहले स्वयं ही इस युद्धसे पीछे नहीं हटूँगा”
na tv ahaṁ vinivartiṣye yuddhād asmāt kathaṁcana |
ភីស្មប្រកាសថា៖ «ខ្ញុំនឹងមិនដកថយពីសង្គ្រាមនេះឡើយ មិនថាក្នុងកាលៈទេសៈណាក៏ដោយ។ មុននេះមក ខ្ញុំមិនដែលត្រឡប់ក្រោយពីសមរភូមិណាមួយទេ។ ដូច្នេះ ឱ ពិតាមហៈ ប្រសិនបើពួកមហាបុរសចាស់ទុំចង់ឲ្យខ្ញុំឈប់ចូលរួមសង្គ្រាម ត្រូវដកខ្ញុំចេញតាមព្រះបន្ទូល និងពិធីការត្រឹមត្រូវ។ ខ្ញុំមិនអាចជាអ្នកដំបូងដែលដកថយដោយចិត្តខ្លួនឯងឡើយ»
