Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
मा मैवं पुत्र निर्बन्ध॑ कुरु विप्रेण पार्थिव । जामदग्न्येन समरे योद्धुमित्येव भर्त्सयत्
mā maivaṁ putra nirbandhaṁ kuru vipreṇa pārthiva | jāmadagnyena samare yoddhum ity eva bhartsayat ||
ភីष្មៈ «កូនអើយ កុំបន្តរឹងរូសបែបនេះឡើយ ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ; កុំប្រកួតប្រជែងជាមួយព្រាហ្មណ៍។ គាត់គឺជាជាមដគ្ន្យៈ; កុំចំអកឲ្យគាត់ថា “ចូរប្រយុទ្ធជាមួយខ្ញុំក្នុងសមរភូមិ!”»
