Bhīṣma’s Appraisal of Kaurava Champions (भीष्मकृतः रथिनां गुणनिरूपणम्)
न त्वात्मनो गुणान् वक्तुमहामि विदितोडस्मि ते । कृतवर्मा त्वतिरथो भोज: शस्त्रभृतां वर:
na tv ātmano guṇān vaktum aham iha vidito ’smi te | kṛtavarmā tv atiratho bhojaḥ śastrabhṛtāṃ varaḥ ||
ភីष្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «មិនសមរម្យទេឲ្យខ្ញុំសរសើរគុណសម្បត្តិរបស់ខ្លួនដោយមាត់ខ្លួនឯង; ព្រះអង្គក៏ស្គាល់ខ្ញុំរួចហើយ។ ក្នុងកងទ័ពព្រះអង្គ ក្រឹតវರ್ಮា ព្រះអង្គម្ចាស់វង្សភោជៈ ជាវីរបុរសអតិរថៈ—អ្នករទេះសង្គ្រាមឆ្នើម—ជាអ្នកល្អឯកក្នុងចំណោមអ្នកកាន់អាវុធ»។
