भीष्मस्य सेनापत्यप्रतिज्ञा तथा रथसंख्यावर्णनम् | Bhishma Accepts Command and Enumerates Kaurava Strength
पश्य त्वं मां रणे राजन् कुर्वाणं कर्म दारुणम् । यस्य वीर्य समासाद्य मन्यसे विजयं युधि
paśya tvaṁ māṁ raṇe rājan kurvāṇaṁ karma dāruṇam | yasya vīrya-samāsādya manyase vijayaṁ yudhi, tam ahaṁ pātayiṣyāmi rathāt tava pitāmaham ||
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយថា៖ «ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ ចូរទតឃើញខ្ញុំនៅក្នុងសមរភូមិ ខណៈខ្ញុំកំពុងប្រព្រឹត្តកិច្ចការដ៏គួរភ័យខ្លាច។ ដោយពឹងផ្អែកលើវីរភាពរបស់អ្នកណាដែលធ្វើឲ្យព្រះអង្គគិតថានឹងឈ្នះក្នុងសង្គ្រាម ខ្ញុំនឹងបោះទម្លាក់ជីតាបុរាណរបស់ព្រះអង្គនោះឲ្យធ្លាក់ពីរថសង្គ្រាម។»
