ययातिपतन-कारणम् (The Cause of Yayāti’s Fall) — Nārada’s Counsel on Pride and Reconciliation
संगरेषु निपातेषु तथा तद्व्यसनेषु च । अनुृतं नोक्तपूर्व मे तेन सत्येन खं ब्रज
saṅgareṣu nipāteṣu tathā tadvyasaneṣu ca | anṛtaṃ noktapūrvaṃ me tena satyena khaṃ braja ||
នារទៈបាននិយាយថា៖ «ក្នុងសង្គ្រាម ក្នុងពេលដួលរលំក្នុងការប្រយុទ្ធ និងសូម្បីតែក្នុងគ្រាអព្ភូតហេតុនៃទុក្ខវេទនា ខ្ញុំមិនដែលនិយាយពាក្យកុហកមុននេះឡើយ។ ដោយសច្ចៈនោះ សូមអ្នកទៅកាន់មេឃ (ឈានដល់ស្ថានសួគ៌)»។
