स्त्री-विलापः — गान्धार्याः रणभूमिदर्शनं शापवचनं च
Battlefield Lament and Gāndhārī’s Curse
माधव! देखो, युद्धस्थलमें ट्रोणाचार्यने जिन्हें मार गिराया था, वे राजा द्रुपद सो रहे हैं, मानो किसी वनमें विशाल सिंहके द्वारा कोई महान् गजराज मारा गया हो ।।
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
mādhava paśya yuddhasthale droṇācāryeṇa ye nipātitāḥ sa rājā drupadaḥ supta iva dṛśyate, yathā vane mahāsiṃhena mahān gajarājaḥ hataḥ ||
pāñcālarājño vimalaṃ puṇḍarīkākṣa pāṇḍuraṃ |
ātapatraṃ samābhāti śaradīva niśākaraḥ ||
វៃសម្បាយនៈបាននិយាយថា៖ «ឱ ម៉ាធវៈ មើលទៅ—នៅលើសមរភូមិ ស្តេចទ្រុបដៈដែលដ្រូណៈបានវាយដួល កំពុងដេកស្ងៀម ដូចម្ចាស់ដំរីដ៏មហិមា ដែលត្រូវសិង្ហធំមួយសម្លាប់នៅក្នុងព្រៃ។ ហើយឱ អ្នកមានភ្នែកដូចផ្កាឈូក—ឆ័ត្ររាជស្វេតស្អាតឥតមេរោគរបស់ស្តេចបាញ្ចាលៈ កំពុងភ្លឺលើគាត់ ដូចព្រះចន្ទនៅរដូវស្លឹកឈើជ្រុះ»។
