Once authority or wealth has been granted and has become socially entrenched with the backing of kin and allies, retracting it is both impracticable and ethically improper; a ruler should consider consequences before bestowing power.
Nārada cautions that a previously conferred sovereignty has become firmly established through the support of the recipient’s clan; therefore it cannot be reclaimed, just as vomited food cannot be taken back.
