सत्यार्जवं चातिथिपूजनं च धर्मस्तथार्थश्ष रति: स्वदारै: | निषेवितव्यानि सुखानि लोके हास्मिन् परे चैव मतं ममैतत्
satyārjavaṃ cātithipūjanaṃ ca dharmas tathārthaś ca ratiḥ svadāraiḥ | niṣevitavyāni sukhāni loke hāsmin pare caiva mataṃ mamaitat ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «សេចក្តីពិត និងភាពត្រង់ត្រាស់ ការគោរពស្វាគមន៍ភ្ញៀវ ការប្រកបធម៌ និងអត្ថៈ ព្រមទាំងសេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់ស្មោះត្រង់ចំពោះភរិយារបស់ខ្លួន—ទាំងនេះជាសុខអនុញ្ញាតដែលគ្រួស្ថគួរបណ្តុះបណ្តាលក្នុងលោកនេះ។ ពេលបានប្រតិបត្តិដូច្នេះ សុខក៏កើតមានទាំងនៅទីនេះ និងនៅលោកក្រោយ; នេះជាមតិដែលខ្ញុំបានពិចារណាហើយ»។
