बुद्धा भवति संयुक्तो माहात्म्यं चाधिगच्छति । वह मनुष्य इस भूतलपर भगवान् विष्णुकी महत्तासे युक्त तथा बुद्धिसम्पन्न हो विशेष माहात्म्य प्राप्त कर लेता है
buddhā bhavati saṁyukto māhātmyaṁ cādhigacchati |
ភីṣ្មបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «មនុស្សម្នាក់ដែលមានបញ្ញាភ្ញាក់ដឹង និងភ្ជាប់ជាមួយមហិទ្ធិឫទ្ធិដ៏ទេវភាព នឹងឈានដល់កិត្តិយសពិតប្រាកដ។ ក្នុងន័យនេះ គឺសេចក្តីបង្រៀនថា ការភ្ជាប់ជាមួយព្រះវិṣṇុ—ជាមួយបញ្ញាដែលបានបណ្តុះបណ្តាល—លើកកម្ពស់សីលធម៌ និងនាំទៅកាន់កេរ្តិ៍ឈ្មោះវិញ្ញាណដ៏លេចធ្លោ»។
