मन्वन्तरेषु सर्वेषु विषमा जायते मही । उज्जहार ततो वैन्य: शिलाजालान् समन्तत:
manvantareṣu sarveṣu viṣamā jāyate mahī | ujjahāra tato vainyaḥ śilājālān samantataḥ ||
ភីष្មបាននិយាយថា៖ «នៅក្នុងមនុវន្តរៈទាំងអស់ ផែនដីតែងក្លាយទៅជាមិនស្មើ និងមានឧបសគ្គ។ ដូច្នេះ វૈន្យៈ (ព្រះបាទព្រឹថុ) បានដកចេញនូវបណ្តាញថ្មរាំងស្ទះជុំវិញគ្រប់ទិស ដើម្បីស្តារឡើងវិញនូវរបៀបរៀបរយ និងការប្រើប្រាស់បាននៃដែនដី»។
