नाग उवाच
The verse teaches interdependence within cosmic dharma: higher beings—gods and perfected sages—are portrayed as relying upon the Sun’s sustaining radiance, just as birds rely on a tree’s branches. It emphasizes a single luminous support that upholds many lives.
A Nāga speaks, using a vivid simile: birds resting on tree-branches are compared to sages and perfected beings dwelling by taking refuge in the Sun’s thousand rays, highlighting the Sun’s role as a cosmic abode and support.
