पाविताड्डा: सम संवृत्ता: श्रुत्वेमामादित: कथाम् । नारायणाश्रयां पुण्यां सर्वपापप्रमोचनीम्,समस्त पापोंसे छुड़ानेवाली नारायणसम्बन्धिनी इस पुण्यमयी कथाको आरम्भसे ही सुनकर हमारे तन-मन पवित्र हो गये
pāvitāḍḍāḥ sama-saṃvṛttāḥ śrutvemām āditaḥ kathām | nārāyaṇāśrayāṃ puṇyāṃ sarva-pāpa-pramocanīm ||
សោណក (Śaunaka) បាននិយាយថា៖ «ដោយបានស្តាប់តាំងពីដើម នូវកថាបុណ្យសក្ការៈនេះ—កថាដ៏បរិសុទ្ធដែលពឹងផ្អែកលើ នារាយណៈ (Nārāyaṇa) និងដោះលែងពីបាបទាំងអស់—រាងកាយ និងចិត្តរបស់យើងបានបរិសុទ្ធ ហើយយើងក៏បានក្លាយជាស្ងប់ស្ងាត់ សម្របសម្រួលទាំងស្រុង»។
